Our History
MOI and the R.U.O.K foundation were born on March 2020 during the early spread of the pandemic, as a response to the major health problem our society was, and still is, facing.
Believing that decisions should be based on facts, not fear, we started looking for solutions. Driven by the urgency to find better ways to help and protect our communities we quickly concluded that being able to closely, yet anonymously, gather and analyze data was essential.

The R.U.O.K foundation was established to safeguard personal integrity and public health. By giving everyone the opportunity to contribute anonymously and securely with how they feel, we want to build a society where people's data can not be misused by third parties. We want to eliminate the risks that what you share of your information today may be used against you in the future.
The MOI app and anonymous user data will help individuals, researcher and organizations, showing real time statistics.
MOI's task is to make it all possible by using safe technology and being easy for everyone to use
Our Ethics Review Board
To ensure that the foundation's statutes are complied with and the projects the foundation supports are in line with the foundation's mission, we have appointed an ethics review board.
Those who want to use the foundation's anonymised data or code base for their research or charity projects must be approved by our ethics review board.
The board consists of five people, all experts in their field:
cybersecurity, medicine, research, technological innovation and charity.

GENERALIZED GEO-LOCATION
MOI doesn't track pinpoint location of people using the app, instead it uses your generalized geo-location. This protects your privacy and ensures the complete anonymity of the platform. The app then aggregates the data for your specific geographic area and compiles a report so you can check how people in your area are feeling today.
